For those who are in love, Paris is a natural choice of destination for your honeymoon. The very air of the city seems to be scented with romance and the beauty of the city takes the breath away.
If one wished to do nothing more than to laze and get to know each other they could do that. On a honeymoon, it is understood that couples will want to spend most of their time just delighting in each other’s company. Some couples opt only to come out for fresh air and for a good meal; and the food in France is excellent.
Some want to go to the Eiffel Tower and just enjoy the beautiful view. The tower is a magnificent landmark and it is a great way to get an overview of the city. Many couples have pledged their troth at this historic monument and the feeling seems to linger and be savored by all those who visit.
Paris is a city for the senses. There is beauty everywhere. It can be seen, heard, tasted, smelled and touched. Surrounded with so much beauty, how can a couple not fall even deeper in love?
Art lovers can take their time and bask in the beauty of the masterpieces in the Museum d’Louvre. Whether it is to see the Mona Lisa or any of the other paintings and sculptures, a day in the Louvre is not enough. Of course there is also the Museum D’Orsay and the Museum Rodin to visit while you are in the city.
The Jardin des Halles are a great place to just relax and enjoy nature. If you want to see more formal landscapes, the Luxembourg Gardens would be the place to go. For a picnic, the Pac de la Villette is a good place to go.
Take a stroll down the Champs Elysees and stop at one of the cafes. The Champs Elysees is central to much of what happens in the city. If you are in the city during Bastille Day or at the time of the Tour de France, this is the place to be.
Music is a part of most of us. If jazz is what you enjoy then coming to Paris between the months of May to July would be best. In fact, the best time to come would be in June, for the Fete de la Musique. At this time, almost every venue, cafe and street corner will have musicians performing. It is absolutely wonderful!
There are also hundreds of things to do from biking to ferry rides. There is Disneyland Paris and Euro Disney. There is the theater, opera and ballet for those who are so inclined. There are also night clubs and many, many wonderful restaurants. The cuisine in France is absolutely perfect!
There is nothing like Paris. It is a wonderful city in which to start your married life in. Its beauty and wonders will add richness to your honeymoon that will make it truly a memory to treasure all your days.
Amanpulo Honeymoon : An Island Getaway

Ever thought what your honeymoon will be like? Are you hoping that you will get to spend time alone together, really alone together? Are you hoping to find an island that is beautiful, exclusive and not over crowded with holiday makers? Do you want all the amenities of home in a rustic setting? Then Amanpulo may be the perfect place for you.
Amanpulo is a great place to have a honeymoon. It is located on its own private island called Pamalican, Philippines. It is a mere 1 hour flight out from the country’s capital. In fact, all visitors are flown in directly by a private jet. How’s that for elegance and style.
The island is an absolute haven of beauty. It has gorgeous white sands, crystal clear waters and well preserved coral reefs. You can enjoy just lazing on the beach and getting a tan together. Swim in the clear waters of the cove. Since the island is exclusive it is a quiet place to be and you can pretend that there truly is no one but the two of you, most of the time.
If you prefer to enjoy some water sports, that is definitely available. With the beautiful reefs just off its shores, you’ll have a lot to explore. You can try your hand at sailing a hobiecat or windsurf. Why not go rowing? Gentlemen, flex your muscles for your wife; feel free to impress her. If you like, you can go fishing and see if you are a lucky fisherman.
The owners of Amanpulo have tried to keep the natural beauty of the island intact. Yeu can enjoy eco walks with guides to show you the way around and enjoy the lushness of life on the island. Have a picnic or two and just enjoy being together with good food.
Feeling a need to get some exercise in? How about some tennis? The resort has a professional instructor available if you’d like to improve your game. If you prefer, you can take a bicycle and explore the island some more. If you just want to stretch, on the other hand, you can attend yoga classes instead.
After you give your body a workout, there is nothing like having a massage. You can have an open air massage or you can have a special session of aromatherapy scheduled. You can pamper yourselves with a facial, manicure and pedicure to enhance your beauty even more. This is definitely a treat that the ladies will love.
Don’t think for a moment though that you have lost touch with civilization. While the casitas design is based on the native nipa hut, the interiors are pure luxury. Half of each room is occupied by the marble bathrooms. No such thing as a quick shower here. The rooms have satellite TV and CD players to keep you apace of your favorite programs.
If you are feeling sociable, there is a club house. The restaurant is also located here and you can enjoy the flavors of Asia and some continental cuisine courtesy of the excellent kitchen staff the resort hires. If you’d rather have more time alone, simply order room service so that you have more privacy. Better yet, why not make arrangements to dine on the beach. There is nothing like it.
If you would like to find out even more about Amanpulo, please visit their website or ask your travel agent.
Pack Your Bags - You’re Going On Honeymoon!

After every wedding comes the honeymoon. Where will you be going? Is your groom keeping it a surprise?
Now the groom does normally take care of all arrangements for this part of the celebration. Due to them wanting to give you a happy surprise they may want to keep your destination a secret but he does normally leave you a clue or two. Has he said something like, don’t forget your skis?
You will need to pack your bags in preparation for your honeymoon before the wedding. 2 days to a week before should give you enough time. You’ll need to prepare an overnight bag for your wedding night too - the one with the special lingerie.
Try to get your fiance to give you some idea of what to pack. You don’t need to know the location of your vacation. You just need to ask him something like, “Should I pack for somewhere hot or somewhere cold?” If he answers we’re going somewhere romantic, ask him another question (though that question can actually be a clue if you know what he finds romantic).
If you really can’t guess, pack a little bit of everything. Have a few dresses for dressy affairs, and some comfy clothes for sight seeing (just in case). Make sure that everything can mix and match so that you can have endless variety without having to carry a gigantic bag.
Don’t forget your swimsuit, toiletries, sunblock and a pair of shades. You’ll never go wrong bringing a jacket in case the nights get cool. Of course no honeymoon is complete without lovely lingerie for the bride.
Most importantly, pack your camera! You’re taking a once in a lifetime trip. Get your memories in print. It’s a wonderful way to make sure the memories don’t fade.
Destination: Honeymoon!

Everything about marriage requires planning and forethought if the bride and groom really want a stress free, well organized start to their lives together. Of course, the planning itself can be very tiring, unless you have the help of a great wedding planner, so it’s wonderful to have a get away plan - the honeymoon!
The honeymoon is the time for newlyweds to be alone together and just be together. It’s time to have fun, relax and enjoy each others company. Of course you may have different ideas of what’s a vacation so here are some suggestions.
A favorite honeymoon destination is the beach. Not just any ordinary beach will do! For honeymoons, the Fiji islands are a favorite. It has over 300 islands, all beautiful and natural. The beaches are clean white sand. Why not visit the famous Blue Lagoon?
Rest is easy to find here as the sound of the waves can lull you to sleep. For those who don’t want to just rest in their resorts, why not go scuba diving, snorkeling or hiking in an untouched tropical rainforest. Dance in the moonlight and play in the sun and sand.
If you want privacy as you start your new life, why not go to Bali, Indonesia and rent a private villa. It may cost you less than a hotel which will give you more cash to enjoy with. If you want to have a change of view, why not take the helicopter ride to see the sights such as Lake Batur and its active volcano from the air. It’s an experience you won’t forget.
If you choose to go to a warm country, don’t forget the sun block! You want to have a great vacation, not be toasted and crisp.
Your Honeymoon Itinerary

Though planning a wedding will already keep your hands full, don’t forget to discuss your honeymoon itinerary as well. Six months to twelve months before. Start talking about honeymoon destinations. You can go on the Internet to look at your options, and call a travel agent to find out how it will generally cost. If you are planning to go somewhere that is very time-sensitive (such as the Carnival in Brazil) you should book immediately.
Five months before. Are you going abroad? Fix your passport and visa, and start updating your immunizations. The honeymoon may seem a long way off but you’ll be too busy in the months ahead to take care of it, so might as well get it out of the way.
Four months before. Finalize your budget and set aside the money so you don’t inadvertently spend it on the wedding (it’s been known to happen).
Three months before. Book everything: hotel, plane tickets, rental car. You may also be asked to pay deposits, so make a note of this in your budget.
Two months before. If you are going somewhere with special weather conditions, begin shopping for your wardrobe.
One month before. If you have pets or plants, find someone to take care of them while you re away.
Two weeks before. Get your travelers checks. Get a special notebook and take note of all the details of your trip: airline, hotel and rental car information, travelers checks numbers, and your itinerary.
One week before. Pack your bags, confirm all your travel arrangements. Check your bank for credit card balances.
