What time is best for your wedding? There are so many factors that go into deciding whether to have your nuptials at a particular time of day. Each hour has its advantages and disadvantages. You may also be working with factors outside of your control. Still in the end, the choice is still yours.
Here’s one reason to get hitched at night: DRAMA. You can have more effects if your wedding is held at night. If you get married in a church, chapel or synagogue you and your guests feel the full effect of being in your God’s presence. These places of worship may have stained glass windows and chandeliers or other art works that look wonderful at night and add to the beauty of your nuptials.
Nature adds a naturally beautiful starscape for your special night. Starry, starry night as the lyrics of the song Vincent goes. Of course that assumes that your wedding reception is outdoors.
There is also the fact that you can have a more romantic feel to the event with candlelight. The effect of the candles is better appreciated with the darkness of the night. Daylight tends to wash out the light of the flames.
For couples who are flamboyant and who enjoy giving their all to their endeavors night time is perfect. The reason: a spotlight. A spotlight is best utilized where sunlight is absent. You can be almost anywhere at night and enjoy having the spotlights effect. It can highlight help you show off your wonderful new spouse and your gorgeous wedding outfits.
This is particularly true for your first dance. Even if all you do is sway sweetly together in time to the music, a spotlight with all other light sources turned off, creates an intimacy and a feeling of being alone that adds to the poignancy of the moment. It can actually help if you are shy about dancing in front of so many people since you can’t really see them.
Of course, if you dance well a spotlight is a valuable tool. It makes sure that all eyes are on you as you show off your skill as a pair for the first time as husband and wife. The waltz performed under this kind of lighting can give seem more ethereal. The tango can seem more vivid. Just don’t forget to coordinate your lighting needs and your plans to both your wedding coordinators and the manager of your venue so that they can have the proper lamps and lighting fixtures in place.
One more reason to get married later in the day: you have more time to get ready. You have time to check that everything is ready. YOu have time to send people to the stores if anything needed is missing or been forgotten. You have time to rest before your wedding. Generally, weddings set at this time are less rushed.
Best of all, you won’t be dealing with the heat of the day. In most places the heat just saps your strength. The coolness of night ennervates and keeps you and your guests more in the mood to party.
